diversity, inclusion and ethical practices
At Cosy London, sustainability, ethics, and integrity sit at the heart of everything we do. We believe in doing business kindly — championing diversity, prioritising inclusivity, and ensuring our products are made responsibly from start to finish. As a small, home-based business, our direct carbon footprint is minimal, yet we recognise the importance of accountability and continuous improvement. That’s why we partner exclusively with trusted UK-based manufacturers who uphold responsible production standards and share our values around ethical craftsmanship and low-impact manufacturing.
Our products are made using certified TENCEL™ fibres, produced through a closed-loop process that reuses water and solvents to minimise waste and pollution. While we do not currently measure our emissions under the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, we are mindful of our environmental impact at every stage — from material sourcing to packaging — and we are continually exploring ways to reduce our footprint as we grow. The same care that guides our fabric choices informs how we make, finish, and ship each item, so the experience of Cosy London is consistent with the principles behind it.
We strive to create a working environment where everyone feels heard, respected, and empowered — built on mutual trust and collaboration. We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all, regardless of race, gender, age, ability, religion, sexuality, or background. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for child labour or unethical working conditions, and all our partners must meet international labour standards, including those set out by the United Nations and the International Labour Organization (ILO). We work closely with trusted suppliers, including our long-term partners at FabricWorks and Clothing Manufacturers UK, who provide fair pay, safe environments, and skilled employment to those who need it most.
Our packaging reflects these values. We use recycled and recyclable materials wherever possible, with product boxes, tissue paper, and postal packaging made from recycled paper and cardboard that can be fully recycled after use. We avoid unnecessary plastics and keep materials minimal so that what protects our products also protects the planet. Wherever we can, we choose simple, low-impact finishes and paper-based sealing, aligning presentation with principle and keeping our environmental impact low.
Accountability is central to our mission, and we believe in transparency, open communication, and continuous learning. Through regular check-ins with suppliers and feedback from our customers and collaborators, we hold ourselves to the values that define Cosy London and we’re always looking for ways to do better. From the fibres we select to the packaging you recycle at home, every detail is a commitment to people and planet — and a promise to keep improving.
